David Lee: LEA Governor (Chair)
Appointed as a Minor Authority (Parish Council nominated) governor in 1988 and transferred to a Community governor in 1996. Following the reorganisation of governing bodies in 2001 was appointed as a Local Authority governor.
I became a Governor of the school at the time my children attended the school. I am passionate about education and in particular in helping to secure the highest quality of education for the children at Milton primary school. I have served on most committees over my terms of office and was appointed vice chair of governors in 1996. I have been chair of governors since 2001.
My working life has been spent in education formerly as a secondary school teacher, deputy head, headteacher and more recently as a Local Authority senior adviser. I am now an educational consultant working independently and with various Local Authorities as a Government National Challenge Adviser. I believe all my experience over forty years has enabled me to make a significant contribution to the governance of Milton Primary school.
